風景と記憶
御殿山に関する資料を読んだとき、景色や眺望についての記述が多いことにまず興味を持った。
それらがどのようなものであったか想像すると同時に、その記述を残した人々自身のことや彼ら/彼女らの暮らしも頭の中で思い描いた。
いくつかの創作室があるセンターには、日々多くの人が集まり、ものをつくったり、談笑したりして過ごしている。
そこには暮らしの中の小さな風景がある。彼ら/彼女らは何を考え、どんな話をしているのだろう。
まちのこと、そして、その中で生きる人のことをもう少し知るために、言葉や記録、記憶をうつしてみる。そうして集めたあれやこれを並べて、
ここでしかみることのできない風景を立ち上げてみようと思う。
今日みえる風景が、「あの時」や「どこか」とも繋がっていくように。
Landscape and Memory
When reading about Gotenyama, I first became interested in the fact that there are many descriptions of its landscape and view.
While imagining what these were like,I also envisioned the actual people who left behind these descriptions as well as the lives they led.
At Hirakata City Gotenyama Lifelong Learnning Art Center,which houses several art studios,many people gather daily to create and talk.There exist small landscapes within the everyday.
What are they thinking about and what kind of conversations do they have?
To understand the area its residents further,I have tried to copy the words,records,and memories. And arranging what I have collected,I wanted to initiate the landscapes unique to this location in the hope that the landscapes we see today also connect to that earlier time, to elsewhere.
